Fosters give cats a safe, quiet home while they recover, grow, or wait for adoption.

Foster a cat
We’re a foster-based rescue. Every cat we save lives with a foster family until adoption day, so the more fosters we have, the more cats we can say yes to.
How it works
- Fill out the foster application
- We’ll talk with you about your home and what support we provide
- We match you with a cat or kittens that fit your space
- Your foster goes to a forever home, and you make room for the next one
Before you apply
- Fosters must be at least 21 years old.
- You must have the consent of all adults living in your household.
- If you rent, you must have the property owner’s consent to bring an animal onto the property.
- A Tail In Need reserves the right to refuse any application for any reason.
